I am indebted to Terence Tao for changing my entire outlook on mathematics forever. Master of pedagogy he is. I wish he, alongside writing that textbook on Analysis, also wrote something on Topology, Formal Logic, Set Theory, Algebra, etc. I am yet to encounter his combinatorics works. I am privileged to reach a state where even though I will understand very little of his current research work, I have reached a state of mathematical learning where I can find some justification, without referring one minute to pop-sci culturespeak, to why I think he is the most perfect mathematical mind alive today, with that right balance between abstraction and intuition, analytic and synthetic, that enables him to hold so many diverse areas with such command.
